  1. Hi Guys An all to similar sentiment, but it's time I begrudgingly sold my Zed car. Its a 1977 260z 2+2 Auto. She is not a show car but a good honest base or an affordable entry to these classics. The good: In original condition, no mods, no hack aftermarket stereo Clean interior Just serviced. Classic combination with the green colour and tan interior. Areas for TLC: The typical crack near the choke. Fuel gauge not working - I just use the trip meter. Some orange peel from a respray by the previous owner No doubt a few scratches here and there Stored undercover, but some rust in the usual zed places - not my area of expertise. Little use in the past few years, some tweeks or tuning may be beneficial AC needs gas Ideally I would love to drive her to meet any members in Adelaide with some experience and a perhaps a better idea of her value before advertising her for sale. Be great to meet some members and share a beer and some zed chatter. Not sure on market value so looking for EOI and/or offers. Thanks for reading. Roth 040088543zero
  2. Looks pretty clean mate, good luck
  3. dunno if this one has been discussed but if so i missed it; though there are only a few days left on auction. Appears recent spray over rust, if so is a worry... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Datsun-240z-Sports-1973-2D-Coupe-5-SP-Manual-2-4L-Twin-Carb-/120846700106?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item1c23064e4a

    240z auto

saw this on car sales, looks worth a look tho she is auto http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/datsun-240z-1971-11779827?cr=3&distance=25&vertical=Car&eapi=2&sort=default&VNAV=A&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294966615%204294966408&silo=Stock&Range=Price:Min,Max~1
  6. Yeh that's the place. Warren was the guys name, nice bloke. Said he was selling on behalf of a mate. The car was originally advertised for 7or 8 grand on carpoint etc but would have got very little interest at that price. Paint is nothing spectacular, a bit of orange peel, but until I get undercover storage I'm unconcerned. I don't recall how much I paid for her, about 5k I think, I was pretty happy with it though and it's been super reliable since (touch wood). Mechanically she is great. I do need to replace the weather seals though, any suggestions? I tried to get a blackdragon kit from the US ($200 pretty reasonable) but they are out. Other US alternatives get pricey for what I need. I wouldn't convert her to manual Aliangus, I prefer to keep it original (perhaps convenient given the current financial position!) and would sooner use the money needed to convert her to buy a 2 seater manual 240 or even a 260. Benny's looks nice but it will be a few months until I have any savings!

"Its a dark pewter color its very nice IMO!!" Agreed - colour looks great - is it original or did you pick it? good eye if you did. Roth

  9. Thanks Guys Will get some pics up soon as I run into a bit of spare time.
  10. Hi guys I'm a new member from Adelaide, currently driving an unmolestered 260 2+2 Auto with a mind to someday get into a 2 door manual, either 240 or 260. I'm 25 and just graduated in architecture so hopefully will soon have a job and funds to restore a classic. The community and forums are great, the information found there has been much appreciated and helped me as a guest so firstly thank-you. Though my mechanical knowledge and experience is very limited hopefully I can contribute somewhere. Cheers Roth
