Hi all Does anyone know whether it is possible top buy new or SH good weather seals for around the targa tops and door tops of 1982 280zx - I need to take my old ones off and fix the rust in usual spots - drivers side seal is split so needs replacing?? Pass side not so good either?? Any help appreciated!

Needed - red interior parts for series II 1982 280zx- mainly rear hatch surrounds left and right and rear. I'm in Tas so freight may be an issue except for light parts. Ta

Anyone going Melb to Tasmania (Anywhere in Tas) with a ute or trailer ?? Need a bonnet and Hatch brought down. Any help greatly appreciated!! Matto

Probably been asked before = I have a 280zx 1980 ECU - number is 22611 P8800 A11-000-450 (my 1982 is 22611 P8800 A11-000-451) is this the correct ECU for that model?? I can not find that number anywhere but being one off the 1982 S2 you would think that it would be correct??? I note that this ecu does not use all pins wheres the 1982 has the full 35 pin setup???

I'm parting out a 5/80 280zx - Series 1 - No motor or GB but got most other bits. Too many to list separately but basically full car less GB and Engine. Interior was tan but most was ruined and gone to tip - some bits salvageable - all suspension, 4 iron cross wheels, P steering pump and bits, aircon, air control, some panels - ECU, warning system and other electrics - wiring harnesses,seats, glass less windscreen. Was a turbo so has turbo boot gauge and turbo timer also anything you need PM me Parts in Tas but can be freighted.

Can I assume that thus car is all gone?

Thanks to with advice on this. Yes the blue and black wires should not have been connected. Blue and Blue with white tracer = reverse lights. Black and Brown (colour a bit vague) are the auto inhibitor - connect these and plug in the others (B Bw) to the MT Reverse Switch and all is good. anyone know what the other pair is for ?? thanks again

Hi got an 82 280zx converted from auto to manual by PO. Starts ok so inhibitor wires are bridged but reverse lights not working. Have 4 wires left from original AT harness - does anyone recall what colour are the Reverse lights. Wiring diagram suggests blue and blue with white trace but it appears that the bridged wires are black and the blue with white check. Other wires left appear to be black and blue and green?? Anyone remember the correct wires etc.

I recall seeing somewhere a list of ECU codes for both manual and auto 280zx's. Can not find it now. Anyone remember where this is Ta

Thanks for the replies guys - I'll have a closer look Just another question. As the car was an Auto it would have had the Auto ECU. Does the ECU have to be changed along with the GB - I have not seen anything in the various posts for Auto - Manual that say the ECU should be changed I'll have to get the covers off and see which ECU I have - I've got an ECU from a manual but don't want to stuff around as car runs ?? Again any thoughts appreciated.

I have just got an S130 which was an auto (1982 model) and a PO has converted to Manual. Looks reasonable job but still seems to have the R180 auto diff in. I have not been able to ID GB yet as car has not been on hoist. I think its a 280zx manual ? How can I tell with this combo what ratio the diff is - can the ratio be changed in the R180 or what are the implications of the Auto R180 diff with a 5 sp Manual might be. Engine does not appear to be revving to hard - around 2500 at 100kmh in 5th. Any advice appreciated. Also how can I identify the gb I have? Thanks

Where is the oil temp sender unit on a 1982 280zx - the gauge says oil temp bu mine does not work and I can not see where the sender unit is?? Is this engine oil or transmission (Auto) oil ?? I have 2 1982 cars - 1 manual and one auto - the auto gauge reads some temp but the manual does not. I don't know whether it is the gauge or sender (if there is one?? Any advice appreciated !!

Do you have centre front valance in good condition? Mine all buckled !!

Did you get the bits you wanted Still have hatch but its in parts (ie glass, frame and most silverware but missing rubber. I have a series I pass door also - do you want some pics - not black interior - Tan. Door has glass and all !!
