  1. Sorry, I forgot one important piece of the puzzle. The high beam does not work when I press the little button on the indicator stalk
  2. What order does the circuit run in? Is it switch, fuses, relays, lights? Is there more?
  3. I have also put a multimeter on either side of the fuses to see if there is any voltage coming through either side of the fuses. Edit; I checked the fuses for the headlights, not the fusible link.
  4. Good Evening gentlemen. Another week, another hiccup! My headlights (low beam and high beam, both globes) have stopped working. The dash lights are working, the tail lights are operating, just the main headlight globes have stopped working. I have taken apart the switch and checked all solder and wires which were fine. I have checked the fuses. But still no luck. Is there any other parts of the headlight circuit that are notorious for failing?
  5. Bronze and white works nicely mate. I would say go for it and as already said, you can can always paint them later.
  6. It will be a stainless steel one that fits in the position the battery used to sit in.

Just spotted a nice orange-red 2 seater on Windsor road heading into Windsor. Looked fairly original and very neat. Anyone from here?
  8. Second one has been taken. Sorry guys
  9. I did win, I just need to send the seller an email asking for another. Did you want me to do this for you?
  10. I found this online at Ebay and asked if the seller will post to Australia. He can post two for the same price so does anyone else want one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200613110981&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123 So far my bid is at $85, so if we can get two at $85 each plus $58 for postage we will basically be getting a front strut brace for $105 each. Does anyone else want one of these???
  11. I know, I need to make up a reinforcement bar to hold it flat. It is actually a very ill fitting piece. But next time I have the front end apart to do some work I will try come up with a solution. I have been focussing all my attention on the engine and bay recently. I will more on to the body as soon as I am done!
  12. I would love them please. How much would you like. Pm me mate!
  13. Mine has the round pin plug.
  14. Toecutter. STOLEN is on my mate Stef's VN. On another note if anyone in vic requires special auto elec work he work wonders with hiding wires and making new relays panels and anything else one may require. Engine transplants etc. Personally I hate my missus' plates. Dreamn. It's not so much the plates but more the cars the are on. The lancer was ok, it has a kit and wheels and looks nice, but now they are on our standard vy exec wagon. It's a little embarrassing.
  15. Hi guys. I am after a rear demister switch and a hazard light switch for a 260 2 seater. Great Condition prefered. I am chasing the Demister switch more urgently than the hazard. If you can help put with one it would be much appreciated. I am also after one little black pin that holds the sunvisor in place. That allows it to clip to the centre above the rear view mirror.
  16. I havent updated for a little while. I had to rebuild my brakes all round so I have purchased new discs from eBay. I must admit that I anyone wants to replace their discs with factory style items the guy on eBay that sells for $130 a pair is fantastic. Great Genuine RDA rotors. Very happy. I haven't chosen my pads yet but was thinking Bendix ultimates. What have other people used? I am going to install a 280zx election ignition system as well. Basically I am focusing on building up the mechanicals and reliability of the car. I know, reliability and zeds. Doesn't go hand and hand, but I am trying!

I have seen the red one now. I would throw 50g at it if I had the money spare. But it would have to be burning a hole in my pocket.
  18. Thanks Alan! Elec dizzy is my on the Cards project for the weekend. That and putting the new brakes on!
  19. The most Painful part was the car was perfect for so long until I stopped driving it every day. Now I definitely will drive it to work a couple of times a week, just to keep it going. I have managed to get her started, and it started first time and ran so smoothly. So Bizarre?!!? But Alan, if that offer is still there, I would love your assistance on Sunday. It is running very very very rich and I would love to even that out with your help. Will PM you. My thoughts are that the rich mix was fouling the plugs and the recharge gave it enough spark to burn through the carbon to start the car last week and then the absence of starting the car dropped the voltage level to much. So Just now the combination of new plugs and a high voltage battery bought the car to life?
  20. Not so Alan... Another week another drama. It is funny that since I stopped driving my car daily it starts to play up every week. So, Alan's replacement starter motor fixed the last problem, and the car started first time and ran, idled and drove. Last weekend the car decided to not fire up, continually turning over until the battery fades. WHY AM I HAVING SO MANY PROBLEMS?! I just want to enjoy my car. I have checked the spark plugs and replaced them just for good measure. I have ensured the choke was both fully on and then off! I checked the fuel was coming through the lines (which it is at a generous amount). Nothing has changed between now and the last time it was running Any ideas?! I currently have the battery on charge just to ensure it is strong enough to start next time I attempt it.
  21. No, they are not Photoshopped bigger. Still the 16s as In the original photos.
  22. I would have loved to see that! If you can get it recovered, do post it up!
  23. Thanks Benny. I am a designer not a writer lol. I don't think I coil write an article.
  24. I havent got an opening spread yet, and I have havent finished the second spread yet, I need a decent interior picture. But it is coming along. I thought I should commission someone at work to write an article for it. Let me know what you think.
