  1. The orginal, AM, auto station find radio does have the speaker mounted behind the trim on the left side of the car. Same position as Zedman 240 mentioned. Do you have the original radio still in the car? If not the original speaker may have also been removed or disconnected. Just a hint when removing and replacing the plastic trim, it becomes quite stiff over the years, I use a hair dryer on the plastic to give it a little bit of suppleness, makes it much easier to work with.
  2. Thanks, I would say that is just being greedy , but i'd have five as well if I could. One for weekends on the road , one for historic SC, one for marque sports, one for tarmac rallies, and I don't know one as a spare.
  3. Yeah, the sills would have been painted 20+ years ago. I have always been in two minds as to whether I like the black or not. I quess as I have had it for 19 years I mustn't mind it too much. As with any car of this age there is a few little blemishes that you can see in the paint work if you look close enough.
  4. Thanks to everyone for their welcomes and kind comments. Yes the bonnet vent is in a 240 bonnet. There are a few minor things that the original owner, I am the second, changed on the car. I would guess that this was put in at the same time as the front air dam was installed and the lower sills painted black.
  5. Hi all, I have been looking at this great site for a while now and thought its about time I register and join in on some of the discusstion. I have owned my '73 240z for around 19 years now. It has follwed me around the country as I am orginally from Sydney, then QLD for a couple of years and now in Perth for the last 5 years. The car is pretty much standard as I purchased it, still has orginal L24, paint colour, interior etc. I only get to have decent drive in it about once a month. I am sure I spend 3 times as much time looking after it as I do driveing it, though it is a great car to drive, especially for weekends away in the country, where there are some decent driving roads to be found. Anyway, I have included a few pictures if anyone is interested.
