Hi folks, Just putting it out there... moving to Canberra in mid Jan... anyone got a car trailer heading back that way empty?? Or alternatively - and given the panic around starting a new job, moving states, having our first baby and restoring a 240Z ... does anyone have storage space for the 240Z they can rent me in eastern Melbourne for a few months while I sort my life out.... Hi folks, I need my parts car gone off my driveway before Xmas, so first PM to claim this can have it. CONDITIONS: Must be picked up on the evening of the 19th or 20th of December (no rainchecks .. ). Will need to be trailered away. No parting out. BYO two rims + tyres (I need the front wheels). Everything must be taken. You should make a $50 donation to the club if you think you are getting a good deal. The car ... Rolling shell. Everything is restorable but this would require a maniac to try. 1977 260z 2+2 with matching numbers L26 (not running). Flattop carbies. Auto. All running gear present. Has aircon. Shell is in poor condition. Front clip has been cut off (approx 30cm in front of arches. Rust in rails and floor. Sunroof hole in roof. Doors and hatch are complete (incl glass) and in good condition. Rear quarters are in good condition. Right front guard is present but rusty. Left guard missing. Interior is mostly missing but all trims from back of doors backward are present and in reasonable condition. Does have two heater boxes (exciting, I know). A steering wheel (useful). Comes with four spare mag wheels (no tyres) + spare hatch. + any other 260z parts I have lying around. It is missing... Most interior parts. All looms and engine electricals (incl. all fusible links, fuse box and associated electrics). Brake master cylinder. Water pump. All lights. All gauges and dash. Indicator stalk. Centre console. Radiator. Front grill. Front valance. Left guard. Windscreen. Quarter windows and surrounds. All seats. All carpets. Handbrake. Door seals. Door trims. Fuel tank filler pipe. Fuel tank hangers (but tank is there). Front and rear bumpers. Bonnet. Inspection hatches. I will answer questions ... but will also pass it on to the first person who says they want it!!

Hi folks, The shell of the car (and any remaining parts on it) will come available in early December. If you want structural parts I would prefer if you took the whole shell. Cheers, R

Sympathies, I have had a hell of a job finding a good mechanic since I moved to Australia... and it isn't just incompetency, it's people actively trying to rip you off!! I would go back and say my piece to the mechanic ... if they gave the job to an apprentice or something who didn't do the job right then they need to know about it. If they are just useless hopefully they will give you at least some of the money back. When I complained about a wildly bad (and dangerous) job done on my car recently they agreed to reimburse me the labour costs and I paid for the parts. Worth an ask.... R
