  1. Datberger..it was with Martin. He does all the z workz for me! The 2+2 is with him now..undergoing some mods to make it a bit habibi.
  2. Hi, I'm Shiva ( immi-grunt Indian). Been here for a while now. Have a 260z (2+2). Added a 260 z (2 seater) to the garage now. More into 4wds...but love the Zs for the highway. Never owned a modern car, other than the Patrol that tows. Both stock L26 (mild cam), with minor exhaust mods. I tried selling the 2+2 for 6K, but happy it didn't sell! Tried again for 5K.....failed! So, both stay! Sorry about the pics...I always thought larger the better,I am sure someone will flame me for this. 2+2 got some custom plates...cheapest I could afford!
  3. Thanks for the replies, I am leaning towards the 260Z. Tough finding a two seater in WA, would love to find atelast a rolling shell. The complete setup is out of a 260Z , engine ,gearbox, loom, exhaust etc. and is going to be a few months to get it all done. I will make sure I have pics coming. Once the work starts,I will start a new thread. Cheers, Indy
  4. I have a 260Z (2+2), slightly worked L26, 5 speed manual, no rust, stock standard. I got a complete rb20 setup with gearbox, that came out of a 260Z and was wanting to do the swap. But then, my 260Z is too good for me to change from stock and didn't have the heart to butcher it. Then, I got spoilt for choice. Found a rolling shell 260Z and a 280ZX (not targa). Now,I want to put the rb20 setup into one of these, whether the 260Z or the 280ZX ? The only advantage I see in a 280ZX is the powersteering but other than that...I want to stick to the 260Z shell, already bare metal, no rust and straight. ThoughtZ?? Cheers, Indy WA
  5. Some interior pics.
  6. Yeah, interior is good, Dash is perfect, all gauges work (clock doesn't work...anyways,I go late to work). Will post some pics soon. Do come along when u r in Perth..or let me know if you need any help when you are moving here. I go to a top mechanic...he's got heaps of spares and Z's lying around his property.
  7. Few pics now, its running sweet. Video:
  8. I got the Z running. My motor was stuffed. Bought a L26 with twin SUs of OzDatforum, nice motor with L28 valves, blah blah. Got a straight-through sports exhaust. Chucked some 195/60/14 Yokohamas. Electronic Ignition. Changed bushes, etc. Got all the work done thru' Martin Mech @Oakford,WA. And..I also got an original radio. Will post a few pics and a video of the engine revving.
  9. I have put my name...the Z should be on the road this weekend.
  10. I will be getting a container from California, if you guys want to put something in, it may work out cheap. Comes to Perth though!
  11. Hi Aaron, Nice to see another WA-Z. Mine is getting ready for the road.I have a complete dash lying in my shed, let me know if you need any gauges, you can have them for free but I am not sure if they all work.
  12. Who's that ba$tard...yeah,its me!! How do u know me???
  13. The only thing is it is too good to modify it and chuck a V8!! I run a 6.5L Chev Diesel inmy GQ Patrol. I had a L28 in another Patrol, beforre I put an EFI on it and beat the ll out of it...but it never died. I hope to keep this stock and save it.
  14. Hi Zedman, Nothing to hide: I bought it 2 kms from where I live,in Perth. It was advertised on 'Quokka'. I paid $3500. Has the original engine, done approx 60000Kms. Has a bit of work to do, leaking radiator, minor work. Was restored 15 years ago and kept in the shed most of the time. Interior is immaculate. The owner was sad to sell....I didn't want to bragain on the price, I felt it was worth it (maybe even more). I even told him its a very fair price.
  15. Hi, I got myself a 260Z,1977. It's a 5speed manual with the L26,stock!! I am not very knowledZable..but know a few things. Here's a pic...more as work progresses. It was restored 15 years ago and stored in a shed...oh,yeah,I'm Indian but working in Perth,WA . Cheers, Indy (Shiva)
