    After a great deal of thought I have decided to look for a 260z! A white one would be a bonus as a project car, I will be over in QLD next week for the next six weeks until the end of June! I am normally based in Darwin so being over in the Brisbane area may give me the chance to look at something should I get the chance, I will only be available to view any cars at the weekends, cheers

    Zedman240, thank you, my car is 1977 and has the handles that you describe, the reason I asked the question is that I like a certain off white car that I have seen, I am also stuck between either a 240z or 260z as a project car, I really like the vented bonnet which adds to the overall look of the car that I like, cheers

    I run a 260z 2+2 with a vented bonnet is this bonnet applicable to this model only or does the 260z have them too? I take it that the vents are to aid cooling? cheers

    I have been quoted an astronomical price (up here in the NT) for bodywork, panel beating, media blasting etc, up to and from between $10,000 to $15,000! I have posted a couple of threads regarding starting a project car! Could anyone please give a guide to what I should be paying (dependent I know on the condition of the car/bodyhell)? Could anyone recommend a good bodyshop down south, which might be a better option? I am also looking for a good engine shop, thank you

    thank you for the replies to date, for my next hand grenade I am looking for the perfect Z road car, not interested in racing at all! There are some really nice converted cars out there but its deciding which way to go, my 260 Z 2 plus 2 will stay in its original condition and be restored as it is run (its my daily drive to work) therefore as posted looking for a project car and to save another Z!
