yer i ment only the r31 pintaras with ca20 had the 4.11 ratio dif... i never knew they made a r31 trx my mates got a u12 trx goes alrite but fwd... thanks for the help guys... Ben

so what dif would be the best for a manual.. im prepared to sacrifice top speed for acceleration... i want a 260 that gets up on it fairly fast... iv sold the l24e on ebay just have to get it outta the car....sorry.. BenJi

Hey guys i have 2 Zeds... one is a very low number 260z 2+2 number 960 (i presume thats pretty low) and yay no emmisions but auto... also have a 77 2+2 which is my parts car.. the guy on ebay wrote r200 dif in the description for it.. that car is a manual, also wen i bought it it had a l24e in it. Some of you may have seen it on ebay its red from the fenders forward with decals and a black rear, have since pulled the gearbox with dad (reverend z) for his 260.... basically just wanting to know if u guys have any idea what is is these cars dif wise...also i have read about 3 different E88 heads the 74 is all matching numbers so im wanting to know if this is the better e88?? thanks for all your info guys its much appreciated.. well i figured they were only lsd centres no gearing etc...i didnt know about the short or long nose.... is there anyway of identifing different diffs as i have 2 260z and have no idea what is in them... BenJi

from the little bit of info iv been able to scrape up it appears they they are "british" su carbs. Are these the carbs that give you the extra performance that everyone talks about??

As far as i know america had the 260z in 74-75 and the 280z was the fuel injected 2.8 l-series the change was due to emmision requirements with the l28 with F.I meeting these requirements. Later the 280ZX was born with the same motor and F.I setup as the 280z, there was also a turbo version of the 280zx released which is quite popular in the U.S with alot of these motors being pulled and put into earlier model Z's Ben

Hey guys, For those who dont know me im revzeds son and i have my own two 260z's and need to pull the motors out of both. So I need to borrow an engine hoist/crane on the 7th through to 10th of september... if anyone can help me out with letting me borrow a hoist thatd be awesome.. Thanks Guys Ben

yer r31 is the rwd model and u12 is the fwd model the post that i read on hybridz said u12 so i dunno it might work.. flatout this week will try get around there next week... ben

Hey everyone.. just wondering if anyone has any information whether these brakes will work i searched on hybridz and found sum info but majority of links were dead (the post there finished in 2003). My mates has a pintara trx as his daily and another in the backyard for parts, going to go over when i get a chance and try and see if the brakes are gonna work with my 260z.. If everything goes to plan id be more then happy to do a annotated writeup on how to do it for all you other z fanatics out there... if anyone has any insight into this conversion please reply to this topic..
