  3. Guys I recently purchased a set of SU's off ebay and i'm not sure if they are early 260z SU's or if they are actually 240z's ... they came with N36 intakes and fuel rail.... Can anyone shed some light on the subject !! I did have the Hitachi SU's off my 2+2 when i wrecked it and these are not like the Flat topped SU's of the Hitachi...[/img] Seems my image didnt go up... they are on my gallery pics

I have cut out the battery tray, it had rusted away severly. You can see that the rust has come through the firewall where there was heaps of leaves and crud that had held water under the sill.

I have cut the bonnet latch off as the majority of Chev V8 conversions interefere with the position of the distributor. I am going to have bonnet pins on either side of the bonnet. Check out Zparts website in the states for images of this type of conversion

You can see from this pic that there is a good 3-5mm of filler across the roof. The rest of the car has a ridiculous amount of filler on the panels

The rusted area was filled by some dodgy workmanship that the previous owner had done. The area is to be cut out and a new section welded in.

Once again poor workmanship. The area is getting cut out and some new steel welded in, You can see just how much filler has been clagged onto the car.. I thing it's going to be a good 100kg lighter once it is stripped of filler lol
