Howdy all, received the following email today regarding Top Gear. Hi all, Fans of the TV show Top Gear, which recently screen on SBS, will be pleased to hear that it is returning. According to SBS, the series which was just screened will be repeated at 2pm on Fridays, starting on February 24th. A new series of the show, which is made in the UK, will screen in prime time, starting in mid-August. Apparently the show was very well received, hence its return with a new series.

I have ended up painting the car blue, but is not Daytona blue, its a blue of a different variety. Thats about all i can tell you.

My 280ZX is pretty much ready to be respayed but my mind keeps playing tricks on me. When I started off I was going to paint the car Nissan's Daytona Blue, but then I changed my mind to go with Platinum Silver (original colour was silver). Now I am 50/50 about which colour to go with. What do you guys think??

iam rather pissed at the moment but will try and give my opinion anyway. stick with the red bonnet, i think the black bonnet only looks good with white body. you dont really want your car painted to look Essendon colours do you!!!! Stick with Collingwood colours lol!! Sorry about this reply but i have had a few Bundys and a few XXXX tonite.

No damage was done to the Zed, they were using it to see if the wheels on the matchbox cars could get up to 80 mph. The obsiviously needed a reliable car that could do it the Zed was called in.

Dont know if anyone here caught (or watches) Mythbuster on SBS last night, but one the cast has a white 280Z which they used in one of their Myths. It looks like a very nice clean example of the car.

My 280ZX has been of the road since March 2004. Prior to that I had the car for about a month with no rego and did some illegal driving of it a nights around the back streets. However, on the weekend it finally went in for its paint job so hopefully it wont be too long now before it's back on the road.

Before you go ahead with this, I would have a word with Drunkenmaster. There is a lot more work than a simple engine swap for the RB into a Zed. All that work is going to require an engineer's certificate.

Sulio, I had my bodykit shipped over from the USA. Shipping cost was about $340 but that included a few other bits and pieces. Come in a big mutha of a box, about 2 meters long by maybe 70cm wide and 50cm deep. It only took a few weeks to arrive which I was quite happy with and was rather surprised when I got a call from customs. Hayden

The reinforcement bar is the piece of steel channel used to mount the stock bumper bar to. It then has 2 plates that run back on bolt up to the chassis. Mine was rooted due to being in an accident and has some rust in it, that is why my front spoiler hasnt lined up as yet. Iam going to get a new one made up and have some slotted holes put into the plates to make easily adjustment and easy fitment of the new front spoiler. I got the MSA kit on sale for $500 US (font bar, rear bar and side skirts). Shipping was $300 but that included some other parts that I had ordered. Wasnt too worried about the price as it was something that I really wanted for the 280ZX, and if you want something for you ZED, you got to get it. As for the indicators, Iam looking for clear side indicators for mine. Cant find anything anywhere as yet. Iam thinking I may have to modify the cut outs my front guards and put something more modern in.

Iam in a similar situation to you are in. I bought a kit from MSA and went to trial fit it and found that nothing was as it should be. What condition is your reinforcement bar in? My reinforcement bar needs repair and Iam going to modify it to make fitment easier, but that wont until after my car is resprayed in a few weeks. Hayden
