Through one of my contacts in Japan I can now source O.E.R. products like the 6-throttle injection kit I'm using on my car. This kit is available with 45mm throttles or 50mm throttles. The kit includes the throttle bodies, manifold and linkages. Additional parts like injectors, fuel rail, air filters and throttle-position-sensor can be supplied at extra cost. The 45mm throttle-bodies are designed to take one injector per throttle (6 total on the L6 kit) while the 50mm throttles can take a second set on the underside if needed (for example if using methanol fuel).

45mm throttle body kit for L6 $2700

50mm throttle body kit for L6 $3700

For anyone interested in triple carburettors, I can also supply the chokeless O.E.R. Racing Carburettors, which are available in 45mm, 47mm and 50mm. An L6 manifold is available to suit these carburettors (right up to the 50mm type). The 50mm carburettors aren't cheap, but if you've ever priced a 50DC0E Weber you'll know these are actually good value.

A big advantage of OER carbs over most side-draught carbs is that the accelerator pump and float level adjustments are on the top of the carby so they can be tuned easily.

45mm carburettor $690

47mm carburettor $755

50mm carburettor $1220

L6 OER manifold with linkages to suit up to 50mm carbs $749

Note that the 45 and 47mm carbs can be ordered with Weber jets or Solex Jets.

Any questions please PM me.

Cheers

I saw some OER run up on the engine dyno (on Stewart Wilkins race engines) and according to the Guru they are "just as good if not better than Webers"

How would the 45's compare in performance to webers?

OER claim to have improved fuel atomisation compared to Webers and offer a huge range of jets etc.

And I believe they also flow more. I did not do flow tests my OER 47's when I had the car but the guy that sells them locally claims the OER 45 vs Weber 45 flow 14% more. I know they worked very well on my 3.2

So they would be more efficient and have higher flow?

I haven't personally tested them back to back so I can't really comment on this. OER claim they are better and the other comments here seem to confirm this.

Here are some up-to-date photos of OER 50mm side draft-carbs. I recently imported these for a customer, they are $990 each and use Solex style jetting.

Hi ben would you recommend 50mm for a l28 that's been stroke to l32? Combo is type A kameari stroker kit and kameari SPL race head.

Posted

Yes for that sort of combo it is definitely worth going to the 50mm.

You'll notice that the new injection kit on the post above uses top-feed injectors and three separate fuel rails connected by hoses, unlike the older-model kit on my car which has hose-tail injectors and a single fuel rail (below).
