TembaVJ Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Hi all, New to forum, life long Z fan from Melbourne. I bought a 1995 serier 2 gtst RB25DET that is to be my donor car for my 240/260Z project. In a month or 2 ill buy the Z, strip it right down and built it up again. My question to the wise men is this, what besides the engine/gearbox and break set up's can be used? Was thinking more around suspension, drive train, diff and all the rest underneath? Thanks in advance for the help. Thanks Temba Quote
dat2kman Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Other than what you are keeping, short answer, no. Diff is a shortnose, rear subframe and suspension is useless, but, sell all that to a wannabe drifter with a S13 Front suspension also no use. Five stud front and rear hubs are desired by S13 owners. Hang onto the disc rotors, as using offsett dogbones to mount the Skyli calipets to the Z struts, you may be able to use the five stud rotors, just need to pick four areas where you can redrill and rear mount. Warning the rear of Z hub where Z rotor mounts is NOT 114.3 mm pcd! Quote
dat240z Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 What Dat2kman said. The skylines good for motor/box/brakes/booster+m/c/accelerator cable and pedal pickup/ECU. Otherthan that its its a heavy paperweight Quote
