260z 2+2 air con

hey this has probably been asked before, but..........

 

i got given a really really rusty old 260z 2+2 76 model i think...

 

its got factory aircon , is this a rare option or anything in this car or just common?

 

also what other options are rare in a 260z 2+2?

Factory air-con is not overly rare, but is sometimes sought after because it bolts straight in with no mods. If the shell is a total loss, someone may buy the complete set-up off you.

Harder to get for the 240Z but still either way they cost to get a complete set running in a Zed. Back 15 years ago you could see a 260Z 2 seater every week in the trading post with air con and 5 speed for under a grand. This is the time of the year that Zed owners start looking into getting their air con fired up. Usually happens after a near 40 degree day.

thanks guys, yeh the shell is a goner... my plans are to strip it, there are some good bits still on the car, i also found an original owners manual in it that hasnt been used aswell. the fella that gave it to me says its been sitting in his yard for 16 years, and it was already there when he bought the yard, and just never got around to throwing it out.
