dpellizzaro Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 I had big plans for the suspension on my 74 260z 2+2 but due to changes at work have had to put these plans off for a while, i have taken my front suspension appart and replace most the bushings and put in a 25mm front sway bar and was going to get new shocks and lowerd springs. How ever i am just going to put everything back together and enjoy it for a while. My question is if there is nothing wrong with the wet legs what do i have to do to reinstall them? is it just the case of refilling the shock tube with 380mL of atf and tightening up the gland nut on the top? or is there more involved? thanks david Quote

DAZDA Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 No need for Fork oil (unless you are rebuilding the actual shocks). ATF should be fine - it's only to assist with heat transfer from the shock to the strut tube anyway. Quote
