53-681 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Hello dear Z owners, I am enquiring as to whether anybody else here has ever dealt with a setup such as this? -Twin throttle body -Megasquirt/WOLF3D ECU (whichever's cheaper) -Stock Twin SU manifold -Loom -280ZX distributor For those who are experienced/knowledgeable; approximately how much will it cost me labor wise and me purchasing the parts: loom, ECU, throttle bodies? I am really assessing my current situation and optional solutions out there to properly cure my Z as I've already spent more than I had forecasted simply on the engine (I could have done an RB25 conversion with Engineering). Thanks heaps gentlemen. Quote
d3c0y Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Extruda body do a twin throttle kit: http://www.extrudabody.com/servlet/the-299/Kit-cln--Datsun-L6-Twin/Detail Quote
dat2kman Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Do you mean the twin butterfly throttle body that was fitted to some Nissan 280zx's? If so dont bother, their cfm flow rates are lesser than a single stock 280zx throttle body. Easy way to go is a Ford XF falcon TB, cheap it wreckers, not so cheap at new parts.no i do not have a Falcon TB on race car, it is just a plain simple stock one ( eh eh !) Quote
pauly_adams Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 you can use your twin su manifold and have injector holes drilled and injector bungs fitted, then use z32 throttle bodies there 50mm or so and just mount up your throttle position sensor where the z32 one goes. i am planing on doing this soon when i run my turbo Quote
