luvemfast Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 As the title goes. Will a 200ZR rear end fit into a 240Z? I would like to fit the diff and rear disc set up to my 240Z, will it bolt straight in as a complete change over of the rear end? Or will the diff fit and then modify the rear end to accomodate the discs and hubs? thanks Quote
luvemfast Posted May 21, 2007 Author Posted May 21, 2007 Had an afterthought that 200Zr's have a 5 stud pattern anyway..... Can I just drill them to a 4 stud and use them that way?? (I am a toolmaker by trade, so I have access to many great tools) Quote
nat0_240_chevZ Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 just swap right over to the 5 studs all round!!! otherwise the z31 NA have replacement 4 stud rear stubs. you can also swap the front rotors, hubs etc, but need to backspace the rotor, to put it back where its meant to be. offset gain in the front of about +19mm per side, good for later model wheels. i think you get a +3mm on the rear if you just use the z31 rear stubs in the s30 chap strut housing. now this 200ZR, you speak of, do you have a writeoff/wreck??? do you have the front end??? where in aus are you located??? (if in aus) nato Quote
luvemfast Posted May 21, 2007 Author Posted May 21, 2007 Dad has a 200ZR and he was looking for some parts for himself, but found a rear end including diff and brakes. It sounded like a nice upgrade for my 240Z project, so he has been finding out details about it all. I am led to beleive that 200Zr's had 4.3 LSD's. Can anyone confirm that? I was also thinking of finding out about the front brakes too. It should be better and opens up a heap of late model mags to choose from. I am in Melbourne, so I will need to get it shipped down here. Quote
