Jz260 Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Hey guys, I had a look today to see if i could find the problem myself somewhere along the line with my fuel gauge mostly. I got part of the dash out and had a look around and everything looked nice and connected so I had a look at the fuel tank end. I found two wires that were taped together but not connected so I connected them and turned the engine on hoping for a result. All I got was two hot wires, no fuel reading. I have since separately taped them over. Also, i had a look for something resembling an oil pressure line or something. I found one very flexible metal hose type thing however it was capped and for some reason shoved through some other part under there, i think it was the heater element. Anyway, I'll try to post some pictures of what I found there. Hope somebody can help! Thanks! Quote
Cozza Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Sounds like the wires you taped together were for an electric fuel pump? Have you checked your fuses since you taped them together? My guess would be an earthing problem local to the gauges. Good luck Mick Quote
