I havent had much luck with batteries and non-daily drivers. My zed/s for example have gone through 3-4 century batteries just because they dont get run often enough, regular charging from empty hurts too apaprently. I've always wanted to get one of these Optima batteries as they are well known upgrades fro cars that sit for a while and ones with bigger stereos etc.

Anyway, I found some on ebay for $280 with free delivery which is $100 cheaper than any other price I could get over about 12mths of looking. It arrived yesterday and is completely legit

FYI, if anyone is in a similar situation.

I knw the fourby guys and boat owners like these, they do a strong impact case version, wouldnt think we need that one, their normal one is good.

Can handle deep charging from low volt levels.

How is it tjat all batteries these days last till, oh, about three months after warranty expires, drop a cell, or sulphate up???

Get yourself a good self regulating electronic battery charger, the better ones have a special charging process for sulphated batteries.

I threw this in the car yesterday and it started the car like it was plugged into 415Volts.

Even a brand new Century with 800cca would struggle to start the big V8 with the battery in the boot.

Awesome.
