d3c0y Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Hey Guys, Just in the middle of repairing and renewing the seals in my 1/4 windows and on both sides the bottom 90 degree corner had split due to a metal strap inside the window frame rusting completely away. Would any one be interested in purchasing a screw in / weld in replacement strip for their cars if a make a few sets up? It's simply going to be a a flat bit of steal with a 90 degree bend with a couple of holes in it, but it will also be an off the shelf solution you can just give to anyone with a TIG welder to fix your window. I have to make two new ones for myself anyway. Quote
jamo240 Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Good idea! I did my seals a while back and had the same issue..just made up a replacement stainless steel bracket and tigged it in...I can't imagine why Datsun made the original bracket in mild steel! Quote
