nissan bluebird issue

hey, my nissan bluebird has started whining on the front left tyre. Brakes still work as usual but its quite high pitched and doesnt seem to matter what speed i go. im just wondering if there was any known issues with this with a 94 bluebird? i thought it still practical to write here since it is nissan .

 

its done 100123km.  4sp auto with everything standard. i did a basic oil/oil filter/ radiator  service about 2 weeks ago, would it be possible i spilt oil there or anything?

I'd probably start by checking the wheel bearing.

check the brake pads it may be the wear indicator touching the disc

Educate me, a 1994 is that a front wheel drive jobbie? If so, dunno! If not, just jack up one corner at front, or both, whatever, and try spinning wheel. Could be something silly simple like a twig behind brake backing plate.

A small stone or pebble can do this!

Or yep pad wrar indicator, dry wheel bearings

You might have to do a bit of undoing of things.

Thanks for the replies, ill be looking at it tomorrow (been a dreadful day today). There was very little noise today but i noticed a slight hum (maybe twice) which sounded like the middle of the firewall area?

 

Happy to undo stuff, if i learn and save monies!

 

And no lol, no missing pets:P.....they usually end in the front right.

a nice little stone decided to make itself a home there.....oh and the brakes were on its last legs. uneven wear on either side tho.inside was less than half of the outer.
