Hi everyone,

Not sure if the asking price is too much but thought I'd give it a go first and see if there is any interest.  Can anyone give me a realistic indication of what the car would be worth.  I don't want to give it a away but I do need to sell her before I list it on ebay and carsales.  Hopefully to a good home

If I sell it to someone from the forum I'll donate ONE month worth of web hosting fees

Thanks everyone

From looking at the photos I would say you are about on the money assuming the interior is quite tidy too. Perhaps throw up some shots of the inside.

I personally would say about $7000-$8000? The problem is that in this price range you could pay a little bit more and get a car with "no" rust or a fair bit less and assume that you can pay to get a respray (although this costs more $$$ than people realise but you do get to chose colour and style etc). Up to $5000 most people can sort of find that money if you know what I mean. $10000 people are looking at loans etc so they are wanting to get something that is specifically what they are after. So you are really just going to have to play the waiting game to find the right buyer. It might take a year but they should come along :)

Good Luck

This is the worst time you could sell your car now as the market has crashed, and the best time to buy if you have any money and did not loose it in the share market crash.

Here is a car for an example of what yours is worth, this was on e-bay last week, Rust is the biggest issue it could cost somebody 5-10 to fix the rust and paint a car.

I have been watching the price of cars fall quite a bit as my work is on the computer all day.

For an asking price of 10k for a 2+2 it would have to be top of the line and nothing to do and will probably not get a bid if that was starting price on e-bay.

Being manual yours would get a little more than this depending what rust you have and how tidy the inside is and if the car needs painting.

the rust and cracks in the paint were there when I purchased the car 2 half years ago.  The worst is in the drivers door but not bad.

I also have a folder of receipts dating back over 10 years of everything spent on the car
