Dallas Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Gents, My partner is going to take out the L24 out of the 240Z and I was wondering if someone would lend an engine crane to her for a weekend to conduct this task... a carton of beer or spirits is on offer, or a cash payment. She is located in Quenbeyan. Regards, Dallas. Quote
chris240 Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 does the missus know what to do ? is someone helping her. Ive got a block & tackle if you have something to hang it off. or just hire a engine crane from Kennards for a day or I'll ask Dingo-Dave next time I see him. Quote
peter mc Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 dam Dallas you have the best girl in the world .... while you are working for us shes at home working on the zed, cool chick Quote
Dallas Posted October 22, 2011 Author Posted October 22, 2011 Guys, Thanks for the quick replies, I didn't even think of Kennards. (http://www.kennards.com.au/index.php?fuseaction=product.view&productid=43&ctu=0&type=&lvl=1#rates) $81.00 for 24 hours is most reasonable. Also, she is confident, and has the engine to a stage where the tailshaft just needs to be disconnected, and undo the transmission crossmember & engine mounts and then she is done. But if anyone is willing to give her a hand I'm sure she would be most appreciative of it. Quote
sco_aus Posted October 22, 2011 Posted October 22, 2011 Dude, to answer your PM, yes I'll help and I have access to my Father in Laws one, so I'll take it with me. Quote
Dallas Posted November 21, 2011 Author Posted November 21, 2011 Thanks again mate, here is the result of my missus' working on the car on Sunday just gone; Engine first, then transmission. Over the next few weeks the final fuel lines, brake lines and misc gear will be stripped from the car, then it will be ready for some sort of blasting before rust repairs can commence... :'( Quote
MaygZ Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Dallas, In all seriousness:- if you and your very good lady ever part ways, make sure you advertise her availability on the forum. Without any doubt whatsoever, she's a bloody keeper!!!! MaygZ Quote
