Lynton Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I am kind of thinking I might sell my 77’ 2+2 I am not totally sure just yet….. But I am thinking!! The Zed just sits in my garage not really being used anymore and I am starting to look more at my future plans as I journey through the 3rd quartile of my life. The Zed is garaged on the Sunshine Coast Qld but it is currently Vic registered and on the original plates. It needs little work to perfect the car. I am the 2nd owner of the car. It is insured with Shannon’s for $15K but the car could not be replaced for this kind of money. Does anyone have a handle on its real worth? It is fitted with reconditioned 240Z carbies and electronic ignition, new extractors and a new 2 1/4"exhaust, new brake hoses and a new clutch slave cylinder. So guys is this Zed a need or a want I kind of feel like I am hoarding it and at the same time I know I will regret the day I ever sell it but I can't keep it forever!! Lynton :-\ Quote
Z Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Very nice condition but it's so hard to put a figure on them! Quote
. Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 It does look like a very nice car but I doubt you'd get $15K for it. It is possible but you'd be waiting a long time for that sort of buyer to come along. There just isn't the market for the 2+2. I think you should keep it....Just have a look at all the posts from people who have sold their Zeds and are regretting it. Quote
peter t Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Mate, It has taken me 37 years to get a car that I have wanted to own. According to the Minister of Finance I have spent about 40K on this car in four years, but even though it is a bus, I will not ever sell it now. It is not a money thing for me but now I have one the kids will have to fight over it when I'm gone. You have a great looking original car and will probably never find one like it again if you sell it. I say keep it and sell the yellow thing in the shed. Although the yellow thing is my second choice. Quote
. Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I say keep the 2+2 and the yellow thing in the shed and sell the minister of finance you'll live twice as long that way which means you'd only be in the second quartile Quote
BobsYourUncle Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Don't do it! It's a really nice looking original car, and I really like the colour. You'll regret it. Quote
