C.A.R. Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Heat gun & Vasolene in the gauge pods should get the gauges in Sam... Quote
benny Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 what lurch said... its ment to be a tight fit and it takes lots of patience!! Quote
53-681 Posted August 28, 2011 Author Posted August 28, 2011 The last time I pulled out the XU10 heat gun was to repair broken YLOD PS3's... I wonder if its possible to use the heatgun to remove a dash cap??? Quote
benny Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 im sure you could... but why dont you try what lurch said and heat up the pods a little then the gauges will go in!! Quote
53-681 Posted August 28, 2011 Author Posted August 28, 2011 To be honest pulling the dash out and fiddling with bits and pieces of cable and pulling the gauges out consumes so much time that before you know it its 7PM. To be honest I'm not sure what to do anymore with the dash. I was just contemplating paying someone else to do it for me (god forbid). Damn, I work 5 days a week, go uni 3 days and spend the nights with the (fair)lady. I'm lacking a massive dosage of sleep atm and falling behind on my last semesters assignments Damn it I thought my ex was bad time management Quote
benny Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I know ive done the whole dash thing about 5 times... it just takes time, wait till you've got some and get into it!! I would say you would damage the dash cap by removing it, you dont know what adhesives they have used!! Quote
