Buying new cam and cam gear.......

what else would I need to buy since I've got the top opened?

 

Timing chain? Timing chain tensioner?..........rocker cover gasket?........

Hey ZD, what are the specs of the cam you have bought? Has the motor had any other work done by the previous owner?

I'm just getting one off the shelf from stewart wilkins........my motor is stock with stock carbies........

 

a friend did this to his car before he got webbers and he got decent power..........around 112KW at wheels.

Yer I was planning to comp test my L28 and if good just leave the bottom end for now and spend my money on a cam and some tripples. If all goes to plan perhaps I'll have enough left over to send the head away for some head work. I guess your going for a mild cam to keep it street friendly? How much for the cam?

fark triples on a worked L28 head and CAM'd would go hard...........it was amazing in friends triple with stock head as is.
