WTB: Datsun 2000 Sports

Greetings!

 

I'm currently in the market for a running, preferably rust free Datsun 2000 in the $10-$15,000 price range. I'm an architecture student so don't have hours free to labour away working on tricky bits, nor do I have the know-how. I can however do general mechanical work and light body/interior restoration. Also, as I said, I'm a student, so I don't have an bottomless pocket.

 

There was one for sale very recently near Newcastle for $11,500 (in storage for 12 years) and I was going to find out about this, however had 3 rather large assessment pieces due and was unable to contact the seller until after the car had sold.

 

So, seeing as there aren't too many for sale on carsales etc., and none within my price range, I thought I would come and ask around on a few forums to see if anyone is in the know.

I highly recommend getting in contact with Lou Mondello in Melbourne..email someone in the Nissan Datsun (NDSOC) club site or Google to find details.

Or talk to me, I have one or two that are available, a quite stock one, and one part modified with a far more recent engine combo.

I won't be available till July 22 nd, as I am overseas.
