End game are we looking at a two seater numbers for 77 or the 2+2 numbers from the Nissan info and then where are the 78 numbers we know they exist....

You may have nailed it on the head Steve.

 

An intelligent guess would be that the numbers Mr. C posted are in fact 2+2 import numbers, not 2 seater (as you pointed out, there were none).

Most, if not all 77 station wagons were "bits's" being made out of what was left from the S-30 production run.

Hi zedrally,

I should qualify my last input the coupes in AUST where run out in 77 with only direct factory order past a certain point. The basic Australian build S30 still made its way to the UK for nearly 2 Years after, (qualify with UK market mods).

hey guys sorry to thread jack but im just going to look at a 240 today and the guy told me it was a 70 model and the vin is 103457 does this sound correct to you ? sorry theres no more info untill i get a look at it . chris.

my 73 is 103305. Draw your own conclusion!

 

Perhaps he said it was a 70's model (covers everthing doesn't it).

 

Interested in the serial as I thought I had a late model 240, this one is a month or 3 later....FWIW.

thanks i thought it didnt sound right , but i dont know a lot about 240s at all ! ill have to see what info i can get when i view the car , cheers chris.
