aegean Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I was having a clean out of the boot today and pulled out the spare wheel. If I am reading the date code correctly, this might just be a factory original. It is a Bridgestone RD-102 Wide 70, and the date code, I think, is T73-03 (March 1973 ?). My car is a '74, and only done 96,000 km so I guess it is possible. Anyone know what tyres were fitted originally and if I am reading the date code, or some other numbers ? While I was having a clean up, I also decided to remove the centre console to do some crack repairs, and noticed that the radio has a spare fuse attached to the power wire. Another factory touch ? 260Coupe Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 yep they were the factory fitted tyres My Aug 76 260 had the same tyres fitted when I bought it in 1988 with 52000 k's on the clock........although the tread was pretty thin ! My spare still has the original tyre fitted (Bridgestone Wide 70) Quote
gilltech Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 My info indicates too that Bridgestone were standard fitment generally in this part of the world. My original type radio cassette - which I bought off a '76 260Z owner as a PO had removed my '74 car's original unit - has what appears to be a spare. Quote
