I've got a couple of L28 manifolds.

Do you know the 'stamped code' for the elusive non EGR manifold you speak of?

Then I will be able to tell if I've got one.

No I don't have the number for it. Its the efi one with the gaps between the runners and less hoses on it. The l28et one I have has all the runners cast together as one piece and has a bunch of hoses/bolts etc.I can put up some pics if you need.

I thought the manifolds that had the gaps between runners was a mod completed by people, as in they cut the existing material between the runners out.

Could be the elusive N47 manifold you're after.

I have one on the 240, has no webbing between the runners and the runners are about 1/4 inch longer than a standard L28 EFI manifold, just enough to through the linkages out, and then needing to spend a few hours sorting it all out to get full throttle. Also the Throttle body is a single 63mm diameter IIRC. So no need to do a change to a larger one.

 

I haven't seen another N47 log anywhere and would like to have another as a spare, but so far they seem to be made of unobtanium out here.

Why not cut the webbing out yourself?

If its just asthetics youre after, find a spare, and just spend an afternoon cleaning it up with a drill press and a grinder.

Just beware of the amount of heat your injectors will then me exposed to.

 

I wouldnt go too far out of my way to find one, especially if they are $300! Could spend that on a custom intake!

There's more of a difference than just the webbing. The one that I'm after is off the N42 and doesn't have the exhaust gas recirculation hoses and valves along with no webbing and is just a whole lot tidier. If it was N/A I would leave it, but I have intercooler piping and air filter etc and really want to clean up the engine bay abit and do a wire tuck

Looks a like this after a polish and a nice fuel rail....much tidier than std with all the pollution rubbish on it.

Don't know if you have what you need but there is a non EGR unit on E'bay at the moment. ($40) is the current bid.
