mossy Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Just got back back from a small holiday in Japan and I've got to say I'm hooked. The people there were extremely polite and always ready to help out if you look lost (which for us was most of the time) We started out in Tokyo for a couple of rainy days checking out the city and doing a little bit of shopping around Shibuya. From there we caught the bullet train to Kyoto for a couple of days to see the temples which were quite amazing, it was actually easier to hire a couple of pushies to do this. Onto Osaka for a couple of days then which seemed so different to Kyoto cosidering they are so close, Osaka has an amazing look at night time with lights and signs everywhere, a very cool city. Hiroshima was next for a day trip, to the peace memorial park and museum, there must have been thousands of school kids there though which made it a bit hard to see all the museum but it was well worth the trip. I had some kids come up to me and ask if I could fill out a questionare for their school assignment, it was quite funny as they all gathered around me as if I was a movie star or something. Also saw the mazda museum which was ok but didn't really do it for me. Quote
mossy Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 Back to Tokyo for the last day to see at least one car shop which happened to be Star Road, it took a bit of finding but after a couple of k's walk we finally got there to check out a couple of cars, unfortunately there blue 240z wasn'r there but they were restoring one along with a skyline gtr, they also had a completed Hako GTR which you really need to see in the flesh and was absoloutly amazing. Myself and the owner tried to converse but it was vistually impossible as he didn't speak english and I don't speak Japanese but we both had a laugh in the process. Finally I was amazed to see the amount of 240z's on the road in Japan.......NONE, thats right not one z or hako skyline or anything for that matter, I saw an NA mx5, a couple of late model skylines and a couple of sti's. We did a lot of walking too so I had my eyes peeled, maybe the next trip to Japan should be a boys trip? Quote
