55000 Volt igntn coil.

:-\ At present running 280Z  Distrbtr & igntn coil. Would it benefit me greatly by installing 55000Volt coil.Also would I have to change the existing module on my dizzy or anything else. These coils are on Ebay for $5o.

Are you having issues with the spark breaking down?

Are you running big turbo boost?

Does your engine burn more oil than petrol?

 

If the answer is 'no' to all of these, then probably not. I've seen standard R30 ignition (same as any N/A L6 EFI) make a spark healthy enough to cope with 17psi boost...

Thanks Ben,only a bored out 28l with a N42 head. I'll heed your advice & save $50 bucks as well.
