Replacing SU air filters + heat shield help needed

Hi everyone,

 

I have a set of roundtop SU's and I'd like to replace the air filters. Sadly, i have no idea what I should replace them with or where might be a good place to get them.

 

Suggestions?

 

Also, I recently got a new set of extractors and the heat shield no longer fits .. Where might I go to get a new one fabricated in Sydney?

I've seen these on a few cars in my time.

 

How do I find out what size my SU's are .. am I measuring the hole I see when I take off the filters? Is that all there is to it?

Is there any noticeably improvement with trumpets .. ?

 

On that site in price they seem to go ramflo, K&N, ITG .. Can anyone confirm if that's pretty much how they go in terms of performance? http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/SFC01A/11-3001  .. The ITG DUAL filter looks tempting.
