luvdemzeds
Hi,I am looking for some advice on which size rim to use on my 2602+2. I am going to convert rear drums to r31 discs, have already converted the fronts to Hilux calipers and the stock 14 inch rims fit on the front fine. I can get a good deal on Rota Rbs and was thinking of 15x8 for the rears and 15x7 on the front. Anybody tried this combination of rim with disc conversion? Thanks in advance. PZG302
15x8's will clear no problems in terms of diameter. I have saab/volvo 2 spot calipers on the rear and 14's fitted fine, on the front I run wilwood 4 spots with magna rotors and some 14" rims clear, but most don't 15" rims and above are fine for my set up. Whittie
Hi Luvdemzeds, I have the R31 caliper and discs on the rear with the standard rims for my street tyres and they clear fine. I also have Rota RB 15x8's for track tyres and they fit fine as well. In fact I have got commodore/FPV front calipers and discs on the front of my car and they clear the standard rims fine as well. I had to grind a tiny bit of metal off the calipers, but about 0.5mm of a fin was all and they fit without rubbing, talk about versatile standard rims! Riceburner
I ran my rear R31 set up with 14x6 superlites when I first had the car, clearance was fine.
