Hi All,

I've decided to go for a RB25 DET conversion for my 260... after lots of research on forums they seem pretty tough and reliable, plenty of power and still have some good fuel economy for daily driving. I also figure that parts and mods down the track will be easy due to aftermarket options.

As the 260 is currently an auto, I want to convert the it to an RB25 manual as well... and considering the brakes, wiring looms, potential power steering rack and everything else I think it will be best to buy a half cut R33 Skyline.

My first thoughts were Adelaide Jap (I've bought stuff there before and it was good), but does anyone have any alternatives?

Also, does anyone know if you could use the pedal box from a R33 half cut to complete a manual conversion? I'm thinking the McKinney Mount kit will be an obvious purchase and install the RB25 engine and manual box.

Cheers,

Sorry for the double post, but also wondering about things like clutch master cylinders as well...

Really what I'm asking is, can I use the R33 internals throughout the car (engine, box, loom, ECU, etc) in a 260Z shell (2 seater)? Has anyone tried this?

You might have to source all the original zed clutch parts/pedals to fit the zed pedal box. Also, use a slave cylinder from a zed and not the Skyline; the Skyline cylinder doesn't have enough stroke.
