Shan Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Hi Guys, Just wanting to know if anyone has purchased from these guys recently and what the quality was like? Benzed is selling bits from Restored (Japan) and I know the quality will be spot on - has a cost associated with it though. Alfa is 50% cheaper, which is great cause I need some cash for coilovers from Ben, HOWEVER I want to ensure the quality is there. No point going cheaper option if it fits like rubbish. Nothing worse than dodgy looking flares and spoilers. SO.... I am considering a Rear Spoiler and Front Bumper from Alfa. Can anyone confirm if the products come out of the moulds straight and in decent shape from Alfa? If not - will pay more and go to Ben and the japanese product. Shan Quote
. Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I have a hatch done by Alfa. It is not the best. It bulges a bit at the top (doesn't follow the roof line) and doesn't seel properly either. I am happy with it because mine is a race car but for a road / show car I recommend getting a better one. Quote

If your aiming for trophies and an exceptionally high quality finish, spend the extra with ben. If its a race car or your happy with some minor blemishes (or are willing to fix them) then the alfa stuff is very good. I have alfa panels on my car, and im happy with them. i have had to do some minor work to them though. Quote

That being said, if it is not straight - that is the only thing I will notice everytime I look at the car! So it does not have to be a show car, but would prefer bits to fit without a heap of modification. Do not mind a little - just not a LOT. Only considering rear spoiler and front bumper from Alfa. ZG's definitely from Ben. Sounds like bumper will be fine from Alfa. Maybe I'll consider going elsewhere for the rear spoiler though.... Quote
