dat2kman Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 When you hit one cone, they add 10 seconds to your time, when you take out the lot, then you are history! Just to make it hard, they TAPE the cones togethr so you do a maximum. Guess who got a maximum!!!!! Quote
Quandary Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 I like it. Get out of the way shit cones! I have some vid footage of the 2 Zeds down at the start. Was interesting to see the differences in them. I've been having guesses for days on their diff ratios. Quote
PZG302 Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 That run probably cost me a class place, I blame the engine builder....Too much grunt Jon siddons was running his green car fitted with a pretty standard L26, from memory, and a 5.1 LSD diff. I was running my 4.1 locked diff with either 225/60 Toyos or if you saw me on the Sunday I was running my 18" slicks. Which weren't getting any heat into them, hence the understeering into bollards, but they did look cool If you have a copy of my first start of the day on Sunday, the out of control lots of wheelspin and is he going to take out the the armco, I would love to see how it looked from the outside, as it scared the bejesus out of me in the car!!!!! sexual_sushi Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 So you've got the new engine in I take it? I'll have to come out and watch an event one day... Quote
Quandary Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 5.1! No wonder. The differences were really interesting. I thought it was just that you had long gearing. But when I asked him he said it was the L24. Might not have your first Sunday run but I'll check later what I do have. Late for work. Quote
PZG302 Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Was the L24 then, Jon has too many engines and too many cars to choose from, the green car was run as he is still getting bits sorted for the red car after his exit from targa tasmania. New engine is done and dusted and I'm more than happy with the build. I have some little things to change in terms of the ignition and intake and then I should be good for a while. The next event for me will be out at Warwick in September for the 1 hour enduro series for production Sports cars. Next item on the list is to get some new caliper mounts fabricated up for the front brakes, the old ones are basically stuffed letting the right hand caliper flex, giving me next to no brakes, so not playing until that is fixed.
