Stivva Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Hi guys, one of those it worked yesterday and not today issues. My l28 is not firing. Its cranking and trying to fire but wont do it. What have I done? I am getting fuel as its leaking out the rear carby after trying for an hour now. Help. Quote
stevo_gj Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 If its not firing does that mean the starters cranking over but the engine just isn't starting? If you have fuel leaking it could be flooded? Maybe leave it for a bit and try again later? I couldn't see any engine bay pics in your build thread but I'm assuming you are running twin SUs? Are they the flat tops or round tops? Quote
Stivva Posted May 15, 2010 Author Posted May 15, 2010 Twin round tops. She wasn't starting before it would have flooded either Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted May 15, 2010 Moderators Posted May 15, 2010 Remove the plugs and check if they are wet with fuel and if they are, leave them out and air out the cylinders. Better if you have a air compressor with a air blower, blow some air in the cylinders to help evaporate the fuel. Then check for spark at the coil. For an engine to run you need spark, fuel and air. Check all the systems. Quote
