Hihi. Im looking to replace my stock 280zx seats, the leather is in really good nick which is ashame because the drivers side "back adjuster" is broken and been welded into place so it wont pass a roadworthy. so if anyone wants them once ive got them out ill put up a post to let you know.

now im looking to put some seats out of another car into the 280. and quite honestly not sure what to chace down.

I want a sporty seat thats comfey, no need for trimming, and looks good in the 280.

Any sugestions?

I would suggest NOT purchasing OBX seats, they are cheap, which is good, but they fall apart, which is bad.

The foam does not have good memory, and so it sags very quickly.  my seats have been int he car about 6 months, and the bolster on the outside of the drivers seat is goon in material and stitching, but not so crash hot in the foam underneath

Mate, just a thought, but the 280zx came with a leather option in the USA. I know it would cost a bit to get them here but you might be able to pick some up cheap to compensate.

gday greg. ahh i think im going to stay away from standerd seats. the stock 280 seats dont hold you in too well. specialy not the leather. maybe seats out of an s13 or something would go well in the car as long as they fit width wise

try some leather z31 or z32 seats. the z32 seats look really nice and by going off afew other forums its not to hard to install, take the rails off the 280 seats, drill afew holes and blot them up to the new z31/32 seats and in the case of z32 might need afew washers just on the back to adjust the angle. Hope your not to tall otherwise it will be abit of a squeeze.

aaaaaaaaaalso i'm pretty interested in your seats, post a pic? I'm in Algester (southside) and i don't mind to pick them up. Other wise once i see a z32 parts car get listed on ebay or various other forums i'll put them in. They look mint in a 280 ;) from experience from my z31 just with the cloth seats even they were unbelievably comfortable so the leather equivalent should be brilliant to.
