I got mine from All Z Parts (www.allzparts.com.au) in sydney. They have everything, BUT (there is always a but :( ) They are not overly cheap. Mine, a brand new 1", set me back about $200 if I'm not totally off the mark (don't have reciept on me, but it was about $100 more than I expected). Certainly wasn't expecting it to be as high as it was, but, they had it and I needed it....

They are good people though. For instance, they kept a roof for me for 2 years before I could pick it up without selling it to another person!

I just had mine done via APS brakes in Canberra.  They send them to Melbourne some where (the place in Canberra is shit and dodgy).  It was $290...  Yeah, exy...

But if you are desperate, i can find out where they send them?

I thought they might be a bit of a specialist item, but there is a pretty big brake outfit here in Singleton so I'll give them ago, Thanks for your advice.

Wally - Ever thought of fitting a Holden booster and m/c to match your Holden engine... that's what I've done. Mine will require a relocation of the clutch m/c by with your 5.0ltr it  might be more straightforward.

(edit) I was up your way today (7hr return train trip but only $2.50 for an old bugger like me) to see if Maitland Radiators could supply a radiator but I don't think we reached an outcome.

Peter,

I hadn't even given it any thought. It might be worth looking at, although I might have to run it past the engineer I am using for certification of the engine. He has suggested I should steer clear of any brake mods or upgrades at this stage, at least until the engine mod is passed and the car is re registered.

Wally - That advice seems to be at odds with everything I've read and heard about a V8 installation, particularly in the case of a cast iron block. I was of the understanding you would have to upgrade the brakes (system!) to get a V8 approved and the system would have to be comparable (rotor size, pad area, etc) to that of the donor car from which the engine was obtained.
