hey guys. well i am a new to the 260z scene. i have reciently aquired a run down 260z 2x2 and hopefully a shell from victoria so i can do a 260z rebuild the way i see how they should have been. im from brisbane and really love the shape of the 260's. my last car was a aristo and im hoping to take the technology of that car and put some of it into the 260. (2jzgte) . i know there will be a few critics out there with the whole toyota engine in a nissan car but hey show me one place it hasent been done. cant wait till i get this thing on the road.

Welcome aboard!

Nothing wrong with a toyota engine swap - the 2JZ is a fine engine.

You should probably think about getting the chassis and braking system up to scratch first though!

G'Day aristo!

The 2g was my plans when I first bought my car too!

Like gyra said, body and driveline strengthening should be top priority if you want to drive it further than past the driveway.

If you have a squander over at hybridz.org plenty of guys have done the swap and you can read how they solved there issues.

Good luck!

Welcome aboard.  When I read your future I see many hours of frustration, followed by a long period of joy and tranquility.
