TmurnaneX Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 As heading says the synchros in the first and second gear are gone. I have a 1977 260z. What are peoples thoughts on it. As in, would it be worth getting a pro to replace just the synchros or should I try find a used replacement gearbox? I've heard gearboxes that fit are hard to come by? reverendzed Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 If you have the original 260 box (and there's no reason to think you haven't) it's worth fixing. These boxes are a little like hens teeth and quite sought after, so definitely worth the money (4-500) to have recon.
