Stivva Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Hi guys, One of the previous owners on my zed glued in the rubber seal for the hatch and I am trying to remove to to sand the area underneath. I have tried acetone has anyone got any suggestions on what I may be able to use to get this thing out? Quote
reverendzed Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Hey man, I use a thin round wire wheel on the drill it is very accurate and shreds the rubber easily. Also PM if you are interested in carpets as I import them. regards, Rev. Quote
Stivva Posted March 15, 2010 Author Posted March 15, 2010 Cheers, I will head out and grab one of those bits to do this. Quote
brianz Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Time for a funny story that might just help you out. Back when I was young(er) I was told to use kerosene to get rid of bitumin from the bodywork. I did this and over the next few weeks the body mouldings started falling off the car as the kerosene ate the glue. Try it on a small part first ....and keep it away from any mouldings that you want to keep on the car. Its cheap and worth a try. Good Luck Brian Quote
