paddles Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Hey guys, Turns out I'm a derp and am having trouble getting the rear control arms off a 260z to change the bushes. The problem lies with the rear hub connecting to the outside of the control arm. Are they connected by a single large stud about 200mm long with a nut on either end? I have removed the nuts but cant work out how to disconnect the hub from the control arm. Maybe I'm having a dull moment, so any help would be great! Cheers Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted February 12, 2010 Moderators Posted February 12, 2010 Hope you remembered to remove the cotter pin that's about halfway along the pin virtually under the hub. You will see a 10mm nut and the pin comes out underneath. But be careful removing it, you don't want to bash it with a hammer. look exactly like an old bicycle crank cotter pin but a lot more stubborn to get out! Quote
paddles Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 Yep we have removed the pin - it's still not keen to come out though! Is the mount just a threaded rod from front to back? Quote
