Surly_Z Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Can anyone recommend a good mechanic for head work, in and around the Melbourne area? Im in Brunswick, so anywhere in a 10km radius. Im going to have to get the lot done at a mechanic, as I have no space or tools (yet) at my new place! Thanks Quote
reverendzed Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Hi, I have found Daniel to be A1 in all his work, I highly recommend him. Daniel Moore, He is at factory 8 8 Evans st Burwood. Just off Highbury rd down the Warrigul rd end Rev. Quote
Scoota G Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Just wondering what sort of head work you are getting done... and everyone else try to keep your minds out of the Gutter. Quote

Ive got to test the compression, but Im pretty sure something isnt right with my valves and/or rings. Ive lost power, and I think at least one (maybe two) cylinders have lost compression, and shes burning a bit of oil. (Sorry for the lack of apostrophes, my keyboard broke!) Quote
Scoota G Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Cool, i was just wondering if it was a repair or modification. I paid $300 to have my head done and they had to replace valves and get some welding done on the jackets too. Quote
Surly_Z Posted February 14, 2010 Author Posted February 14, 2010 Ill give Daniel a buzz tomorrow, hopefully its nothing too bad. I guess well see once its apart. Quote
kolonelklink Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 have you done the standard compression/rings/oil tests?? seems silly to blow money on a head when your bottom end could be skruwed? -pete Quote
