PeterAllen Posted January 24, 2010 Posted January 24, 2010 I'm looking for someone to mill a recess in the two driveshaft adaptors I have had turned. I want to sink the companion flange about 5mm into the adaptor and be a snug fit so the four bolts are not acting in shear. Any toolmakers out there... or any recommendations? Thanks Quote

PeterAllen Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 Vince - thank you. I dropped in to see Stephen this morning. He was chatting with John Smith whom I raced against in the 70s and who I found out now lives two streets away from me. We got around to talking about the Dawson-Daimler collection of Lotus open-wheelers which Smithy sometimes drove and he said that Stephen manufactured many parts for cars in the collection - good enough for me. My car is starting to get a real Lotus connection as the chap who stitch welded the shell was an ex-Lotus fabricator and, coincidentally, earlier shared the premises where Stephen now operates... Small world. PS. Think I might even have slide of the Lionel Ayres MRC (Lotus 23b replica) at Warwick Farm and which Stephen now owns... Even smaller world! Quote
