ZED660 Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Check the attached link for some great shots of the '74 Monte, especially the support crew wagons!. How things have changed!! http://team-go-on.forumotion.com/la-comptetition-d-hier-d-aujourd-hui-f25/monte-carlo-1974-repportage-au-coeur-de-l-assistance-datsun-t1199.htm#13538 Quote
bluerat Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Great Photo's. Do you know if the Zed in the modern photo's (the one with his Mrs looking real happy) is a x-works car? My French isn't that good. I'd love one of those 'Old Woking service station' window stickers. Those Cedric's are pretty cool service vechicles, you would look great today turning up to a HRA event today with one of those and a Zed/1600 in tow!! The Datsun Aust rally team service vans were pretty cool as well, Urvans with triple carb'd six's! Quote
ZED660 Posted January 17, 2010 Author Posted January 17, 2010 Using Google to translate the site it seems to suggest that the chap in the light coloured jumper is Franck Danse who used to be in the Datsun support crew for the Monte and figures in some of the earlier pics. It mentions that he restored the 240 but doesn't indicate if it is a works car and I suspect not. It also seems to suggest that the Cedrics had 240Z motors from 1972 rally cars. Quote
