Wanted a 240Z or 260Z 2 seater

New to the forum and Z's all together...

 

Looking to get a Z as the title suggests.

 

Im located in Brisbane but will travel.

 

Looking for something close to on the road with minimal heavy Rust Surface rust is fine...

 

Budget between 3 to 8K

 

ant help would be great

I'm in the same boat (all be it much further south) as you.  I can tell you from my experience, the price range you are quoting will get you a car in the range from HUGE project to BIG project.

 

Road ready(ish) and relatively rust free seem to start around the $10-12K mark.

 

Having said that, you may be lucky if you are patient.  Good luck.

As MaygZ has already said, judging from the sound of what you are looking for, these days you will likely need to spend your full 8k (and possibly more) to get the right car, unless you are pretty patient and/or very lucky.

 

And when you say surface rust is fine - unfortunately surface rust is most often the tip of the iceberg, and the true story underneath is much different... So bear that in mind while shopping, to save yourself potential heartache and wallet pain later on.

 

HOWEVER, if you were to expand your horizons to a 2+2, then its a bit of a different story, and the upper end of your budget will likely get you a decent one fairly quickly.  I still prefer 2 seaters myself though...
