chris240 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Dim, do you mean checking the battery while the car is running ? Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted May 9, 2010 Moderators Posted May 9, 2010 Yep, also disconnect that new wire you installed with the diode and let the car sit and see if it flattens the battery. Quote
chris240 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 will do... also the diode we used had a slightly different code number than those 2-3 specified..(no stock at electronics shop), is that a possible problem ? Quote
chris240 Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Dim.. after we spoke, I let the car idle and the battery dropped 0.3v in 15mins....It started at 12.4 went to 12.1 before I turned it off. (no lights etc on). somethings not quite right could the regulator within the alternator be stuffed ? I'll take it for a run tomorrow and I'll check the readings before and during.. Quote
