k1ngtr Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Hey guys im so not wanting to post this right now but i have to as i have no car and i need to rebuild my skyline engine. Im selling the car i have had it for 1 half years and have done few things to it. Body condition - Car has a bit of rust in the usual spots like battery area bottom of the side skirts and petrol cap and i have made panels up for the side skirts and the petrol cap area other than that the car is in pretty good condition almost no dints little work needed! Cant stress enough everything is there front rear bumpers all interior. it was a complete car and will be sold complete! Engine and Auto Box - Engine was in the car when i got it and the box and i drove it around for about a month to the shops here and there ran like a dream engine was rebuilt before i got it and i have freshend up the engine with some new paint looks really good. The auto changes perfect original 2.6l with original carbs and have extractors to go with it. Interior - All the interior is in the car trims dash console belts has it all!!!!!! only thing the car needs is carpet you would never believe the condition of the interior of my car and how original it is. Final - Im not to fussed if i sell the car if it comes down to it i will restore it and keep it but extra cash would help me. I am so lucky to have found a car with this kind of interior and its so rare to find a Z these days with seats that look like they just came out of the factory!!!!! I might be able to put the bonnet guards back door on but there is no point bolting all the interior back in as it needs to get carpeted anyway. Quote

The reality is if i have to spend 5K on parts and metal to do teh body, whic i can do mostly myslef with my mates who have done plenty of renos, then i will still be in front. Mechanically, can runs and looks ok, but mechanically i will do thatmyself. Total cost of estimated reno $15K including all new interior and so forth. Paint is free as my mate is a panel beater so yehhhaaa. Quote

LOL. need to read what i write before posting Personally MASE man, I think you would be better off buying this one and parting out the other, expending money on yours is one thing, but the time to do the restoration will drive you nuts. This way you can hoard a lot of gear off of yours, supplement what you may need or store away for future spares, and start with a much fresher project, and of course, you will find that ppl will buy a lot of odds and ends off you, to start with, I will pay you $150.00 for the steering coloum as mine is pretty buggard and isnt servicable. If the seats are half as good as they look, I'll offer $300 Neg. Quote

I mean, whilst the body will take time, with the mates i have, nothing is impossible. So far i have got full 2+2 sills for $195 custom made lockally. Floors, from the US, $195 per side. The rest will be made up as i go along. I think it can be resurected, at what cost, not sure, i will have to asses that once it is here. Sur eteh above example would have been a BETTER staring point, but i have just spent all my cash. Quote
