well the crx was just written off in a 5 car pile up, will upload pics sometime, so thats dam annoying, glad it wasn't the zed, wish it was my dads dodgy car that was written off though, and so does he!

we were all stopped at lights and a tow truck didn't stop....so time to get the zed on the road faster...sure aren't having much luck! its also more annoying as apparently the company gets to cash in the rego, and it was like 2 weeks into the year it had, then it had new tyres and a new clutch...and it was fairly fun and cheap to drive too!

as you can see the truck was still going pretty fast! i am not sure if the car behind locked its brakes or not, i didn't have any issues stopping in time and left the right gap infront etc, so i was pushed pretty far, prob due to the weight? and as the car behind was an older skyline i'm thinking it didn't crumple that much so my car absorbed alot of the impact

well here's the last pics of the crx, it is going to go to a honda wrecking yard, the dodgy guy didn't have insurance so am only going to get market value to a max of 4g for it, which i guess isn't to bad, but its more the annoyance of it all happening, he's the last pics of it

my car is now basically roadworthy, everything that was on the orginal list has been done, except for the windscreen, which i'm hoping is one of the things they are happy to overlook. i took it to a more local place for a rwc inbetween and they wanted me to get a rust free drivers door, and while i have one i dont want to put it on if i can avoid it, and the time is now up with them so i'd have to pay again anyway. where as the orginal place didn't fill in the actual certificate so i can just take the car back.

i had the front springs and shocks put in along with nolec? bushes i belive, and from towing it the whole 500metres from the mechanics to my gf's house it felt like all the play issues were gone, so now i just need to get the rear done sometime, and probably pretty soon as pushing down on each corner the front is ALOT stiffer. here's a pic of the front lowered, just low king springs (the rear currently has yellow springs so unsure whats happening there, should read through reciets that came with the car), would b nice to have it lower again but even this scraped alot more going into gf's driveway, so i really need to get some sort of ramp thingy to stop it doing so, and this is atleast a huge improvement anyway to the 4wd look

in crx news the guy finally picked up the car to take it to his mate to get a quote or something like he wanted and its around the 7g mark, so definately a write off, just waiting to hear from him again...sure takes his time!

hmmm now that i look at it, particually in photos, it really doesn't look that jacked up in the back, so mayb it already has some king springs in the rear...it didn't up the front so i dont know whats going on.

when i first walked up to the car it just looked so sexy, but mayb that was because i hadn't seen it in so long, and the front wasn't jacked up so it looked like the back still was, if that makes sense

it could still be a fair bit lower, but atleast now the wheel well circle isn't concentric with the wheel!

yep i've got king springs for the rear and koni's to go in, its booked in for the 6/9th to get it done.

so nearly 3 months, and an amount of money i dont really want to add up later, the car is back on the road :D its a good thing though as it atleast forced me to get things fixed that i should have gotten done anyway such as the steering which was loose.

so now it has new ball joints, tie rod ends, bushes up the front and on the diff mount and the shocks are halfway through being put in and a few random things, oh and no visable rust hehe

anyone up for a cruise on the 23rd of september??? am taking the day off for other reasons so sounds like a good excuse for a drive!

just picked up the car from having the rear shocks and springs put in, sure can feel the difference :D it doesn't look like its any lower, but when i put on higher profile tyres it should look ok, when i have time i might put the ones i have sitting here on. it also ended up costing more than i would of liked to get them fitted, but ohwell, can't wait to take it for more of a drive, the only thing that i've noticed so far is it slides alot nicer 8)
